Our farming intentions - a working list.

Deepen our cultural connection to food by sharing historically grown, regional, heirloom and open-pollinated varieties with our community. Encourage dialogue about what, how, and why we farm directly with consumers

Research, experiment, and gather data with the goal of encouraging ecosystem function and productivity. Respond to environmental stressors and change with holistic solutions

Provide quality habitat for the native fauna and soil organisms on which a resilient food system depends. Use farming practices which encourage reciprocity, not merely extraction, of resources

Our work’s worth transcends economic terms, but we must strive to create an economically sustainable business that allows for our continued contribution towards a sustainable food system

Acknowledge our extreme privilege of land tenure and food sovereignty, and champion the fight against injustice in the global food system. Share & support organizations working to end such inequities

Keep the soil covered, ideally with living plants. Just keep planting
